At Center Stage, a Montesorri preschool, your child will be immersed in the performing and fine arts from the very beginning. Our preschool director, Heather Carboneau, tells you what we have planned for the arts at Center Stage Preschool.
Practical Life Skills are the Center of the Montessori Preschool Approach
Our theater will feature authentic roman columns, hanging curtains, and a stage for your child show what a star they are! Practicing life skills is the core concept of everything we believe in at Center Stage. We believe that you should never do something for a child, that they are capable of doing things on their own.
Preschool is a time for impressionable children to learn and grow, and our skilled teachers will be there to assist them through their developmental journey. Our teachers and director will encourage children to be self-sufficient by teaching them practical life skills through hands-on experience. Every aspect of our preschool curriculum is dominated by this self-sufficiency oriented philosophy, and the Montessori preschool approach. We believe it is important for children to get a feel for speaking to other student and adults at a young age.
Our Theater is Another Place for Children to Practice Life Skills
As part of our afternoon curriculum, our students will enter our roman theater to learn about the fine and performing arts, and to practice their life skills, such as public speaking, self-sufficiency, and following directions!
